Artificial insemination mimics the process of a natural mating, whereby the semen is collected from the stud dog and placed close to the cervix of the female via a sterile catheter. This process can be less stressful for both dog and owner in obtaining a pregnancy and also greatly reduces the risk of passive STD’s.
